On December 17, 2025, Riopele held its 2025 Year-End Management Meeting at the Administration building, bringing together hundreds of employees for an afternoon of sharing and alignment. During the session, the company presented its annual results as well as new strategic projects in the areas of training, logistics and sustainability.

The opening address was delivered by Riopele’s General Director, José Teixeira, who focused on the “People” pillar, highlighting employee well-being and development, and on the “Sustainability” pillar, presenting the goals achieved in reducing the company’s carbon footprint, increasing the use of renewable energy, and optimising water consumption and recovery.

This was followed by the presentation of new projects in the area of training, a strategic investment for Riopele over recent years and a true differentiating factor in the development of its people. Over the past five years, the company has delivered a total of 164,000 training hours, involving around 1,900 trainees, across 600 courses delivered by 25 training providers. The areas with the greatest impact included the Textile and Apparel Industry, Organisational Frameworks, Management and Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, as well as Foreign Languages and Cultures.

The session also included the presentation of a project dedicated to the modernisation of Riopele’s logistics operations, led by Jorge Oliveira, Director of Logistics and Planning. This initiative focuses on restructuring warehousing operations, with an emphasis on strengthening operational efficiency, improving service levels and ensuring the sustainability of the operation.

There was also space for an in-depth overview of Riopele’s energy matrix, outlining the company’s ongoing commitment to clean energy, energy consumption across its different industrial units, and its future vision regarding energy use in its operations.

The session concluded with a closing address by the Chairman of Riopele’s Board of Directors, José Alexandre Oliveira, who addressed the challenges facing the company and the textile industry in the year ahead, leaving a message of confidence and mobilisation to all employees:

“In every challenge, there is a plan to overcome it. In a demanding and uncertain context such as 2025, we were able to meet the objectives we set ourselves — something that was only possible thanks to the dedication and commitment of each and every one of us. The coming year will bring even greater challenges, not only for our industry but for the European business landscape as a whole. My message for this year is a call for collaboration and efficiency from everyone, so that we can rise to this new challenge and continue to establish Riopele as an increasingly relevant company.”
