At the Management Meeting, which brought together around 250 employees last July, Riopele’s CEO, José Teixeira, highlighted these strategic pillars, while also pointing out the challenges facing the textile industry in a particularly demanding political, economic, and social context.
The Board presented the key indicators: sales grew by more than 6% compared to the same period last year, according to Commercial Director Marta Pacheco, while Creative Director Carlos Costa unveiled the AW26 collection, revisiting the early years of Riopele — the people, the places, and the yarns that started it all.
The meeting also anticipated the company’s centenary celebrations in 2027, with the presentation of the first initiatives by Business Development Manager Francisca Oliveira, and a cultural moment in tribute to the company’s foundation, which moved the audience.
The Chairman of the Board, José Alexandre Oliveira, closed the session with a message of confidence:
“I feel great satisfaction with the results achieved by our teams in the first half of 2025, made possible only thanks to the commitment, dedication, and spirit of collaboration of everyone. We face the future with optimism, while fully aware of the challenges and uncertainties that the textile sector and the world are facing. However, I have full confidence that Riopele’s employees will continue to ensure the sustainable growth of the company, honoring almost a century of history and preparing Riopele for the challenges ahead.”
