Treated fabrics were tested against viruses in accordance with ISO 18184:2019, a standard test for the determination of the antiviral activity of textile products in a two-hour timespan, where it has to reduce the virus by 99%, to be approved effectiveness on textiles.
Tests show a reduction of viral load by up to 99% on treated PES textiles. The tests were conducted using a feline coronavirus possessing structures and mechanisms reminiscent of SARS-CoV-2, thus facilitating inferences about COVID-19.
