Agent Convention marked by the launch of a new collection

On December 18 and 19, Riopele promoted the usual biannual meeting with its commercial agents, with the purpose of taking stock of the commercial activity developed thus far, while offering an opportunity to share information about the business, thus strengthening the proximity and bonds of trust with the agents who work across the various continents.

The first day began with individual meetings and debriefings with Riopele’s Administration, followed, in the late afternoon, by the Agent Convention, held in the R&D hub with the following agenda: “Riopele’s Activity Evolution 2013 – 2017” by the Director Bernardino Carneiro; “Our Service” by the Head of R&D Albertina Reis; and the “Message from the President” by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Riopele, José Alexandre Oliveira.

Held in English, given the diversity of nationalities present, the major topics addressed at the Agent Convention were: the company’s performance and the main drivers of actions over the last few years; the elements of the service and an investment analysis, and the contribution and role of the commercial agents team to the positive results that have been achieved.

At the beginning of the second day of the meeting, Giovanni Bonotto, who has been working in partnership with Riopele for several years, made a presentation in the R&D hub, in which he identified the new global and market trends, with a particular emphasis on the textile and fashion industry.

Later, together with Carlos Costa, Deputy Head of R&D, Giovanni Bonotto presented the fabrics of the SS 19 collection, allowing the company to obtain feedback and assess its actual capacity to meet the agents’ expectations and the demands of the various markets.

Visibly pleased with the fabrics and ideas that were presented, the agents will now show the new collection in commercial visits to customers and in the main fashion trade fairs worldwide, namely The London Textile Fair and Munich Fabric Start, in January, Milano Unica and Première Vision Paris, in February, and Jitac Tokyo, in March.
