The APCER audit, which took place on April 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd, aimed to assess whether the performance of the management system of the organisation ensures continuous improvement and continued compliance with the requirements of the reference standards as well as assess the suitability of the certification given potential changes.
Overall, the Audit concluded that Riopele's management system effectively meets the established objectives and legal, statutory and regulatory requirements. It highlighted positive aspects such as the ongoing projects in the area of sustainability and industry 4.0, the focus on innovation, particularly in the development of the digital customer platform, the continuous investment in the rehabilitation of infrastructure, equipment, working conditions and social areas.
The audit team identified no situations of negative impact, thanks to the collaboration shown and the excellent work done by the organisation and its employees. Thus, they considered that Riopelet meets the conditions for the renewal of the Quality (NP EN ISO 9001) and Environment (NP EN ISO 14001) certifications and the migration to the new Health and Safety standard (ISO 45001:2018).
Bernardino Carneiro, Riopele's Board Director, congratulated all those involved and stressed the "very competent work of the APCER audit team" and "the importance of the presented results". The board member also emphasised that the Audit by external and independent teams is "crucial in validating the evolution recorded by the company in the last decade".
